Granny's gone and done it again

A bunch of us got together and pm'd them but all we got was the thread vetted. Not worth it.
That’s a load of bull. My thread last month was closed because of people arguing. I hadn’t said anything but I felt punished. I didn’t want it closed because maybe I wanted to update. They need to pull their sh!t together because it’s getting ridiculous.

does any one know if "angel wing" can "fix" itself ?? Could have sworn I had 2 with it and now back just to the one.

I think some of the growing stages can look crazy. It happens to guineas, too. Cow never had angel wing but when he molted his new wing feathers were growing in crazy. I asked about if a few places and got no answers. Now both wings are normal.

Wow, finally caught up. You all have been busy little beavers. @h2oratt ~ hope you gd heals fast. @jane s chickens ~ so sorry about you little buddy getting run over & hope you get over this flu fast. Michigan has not reached its peak flu season yet. They are saying in 2 weeks. Everyone getting sick. My youngest gs gets sick with everything. In the past week he went from croup to bronchitis. They started an antibiotic & he has 2 meds for his breathing treatment machine. They are hoping to keep him from getting pneumonia. He had just gotten cleared up from croup/ear infections just after Christmas, was only back to daycare center 3 days when he picked up all the junk once again. He is 2 & everything is put in the mouth & he has bad allergies to make matters worse.

Mother Nature has been rearing her ugly head once again. We've had 3 days of thawing weather (which was a blessing where roofs were concerned) Yesterday we had a record breaking 55° weather temp. This mornings weather is a brisk 18° degrees that feels like 1°. Winds coming out of the north at 22 miles per hour with blowing snow brrr..... all my coop doors were frozen shut. Still cannot get the layer coop open. Have used a hair dryer & pry bar, but nothing. Guess I didn't want to clean that coop too bad anyways lol.

I sent my hubs the wish list. Oops left out the speckled Sussex (but I may be a rebel and get straight run of those!!). Need to look into how heat tolerant these breeds are but its a nice assortment I think. ;)

Yes this is how I spent my lunch break lol. Back to work!!

Love to y’all and don’t sweat the petty peeps.

I'm fortunate that their feeders & heated water bowls are in a covered area built off the end of their coop but access from their run. Was able to fill feeders & waterers at least. I did find one of my older girls in very bad health. She was a failure to thrive bird to start out with. DD & SIL helped her to hatch while hubby & I were on vacation 2 years ago. She has never been a good layer & always looked off. When I was filling the large hanging feeder she came out from under the coop & went to the feeder. I heard a gurgling noise, but didn't know which one it came from. Went to get more feed to finish filling the feeder. When I got back to the feeder she was on the other side of it & her face was all swollen up including her eye. Her eye was frozen as well. I removed her from the flock & culled her. Hoping no others catch anything.
