don't respond on the thread except to flag the offenderThat’s a load of bull. My thread last month was closed because of people arguing. I hadn’t said anything but I felt punished. I didn’t want it closed because maybe I wanted to update. They need to pull their sh!t together because it’s getting ridiculous.
Stay warm, Lisa! Sorry you had to cull, but it is best in the long run. Wish I wasn't so wimpy about it.Mother Nature has been rearing her ugly head once again. We've had 3 days of thawing weather (which was a blessing where roofs were concerned) Yesterday we had a record breaking 55° weather temp. This mornings weather is a brisk 18° degrees that feels like 1°. Winds coming out of the north at 22 miles per hour with blowing snow brrr..... all my coop doors were frozen shut. Still cannot get the layer coop open. Have used a hair dryer & pry bar, but nothing. Guess I didn't want to clean that coop too bad anyways lol.
phew!Totally forgot about you. But definitely not you wishing

I like raw veggies too!Mom makes homemade for basically every family gathering. But I’ve hated Mac and cheese since I was little. I used to sometimes eat the noodles with butter, but I haven’t even ate those in almost 20 years. I’m a picky eater that is more likely to eat raw veggies than stuff that is normal for my family.
The marrow can be pretty fatty. You can skim off all that fat when it's done. Or set it outside for 5 seconds and chunk off the solid fat!Bone broth looked so good. I thought I would give it a taste. Bout puked . All I got was a spoon full of grease. Lips feel good though ! Like they been waxed. haha I thought the marrow was supposed to come out of the middle of the bone ?
Bummer. Didn't that dang storm know it's better to be fashionably late? No, the ice was there when I got up early this am.
I dont see anything coming out of the middle of the bones. The dark part is the marrow right ? Did yours get hollow ? I sure hope that broth taste better then the inch thick fat on top. Another day of cooking still. There was more meat on the bones then I thought.don't respond on the thread except to flag the offender
That's why I mostly stay here, safe at granny's.

I never tried marrow bones. I guess the marrow might turn black when roasted???I dont see anything coming out of the middle of the bones. The dark part is the marrow right ? Did yours get hollow ? I've used knuckle bones, oxtail (little fatty), turkey and chicken necks, and something pork, but can't remember. I saw chicken feet at Walmarket store the other day and thought of you. I'd use those for sure.
Oh it was pigs feet I used.
Knuckle bones might have a little marrow, but mine didn't.

I bet pigs feet and chicken feet would make good broth but I couldnt use them for Robert. No way he would drink that. Not sure I would either.
