We’ve been up playing board games with the friends we invited over. Game of Thrones version of CLUE, Smart Ass, and Battle of the Sexes. Happy to report I am still undefeated in Smart Ass.

Red cabbage strikes again?
Sigh. Is it bad I’m looking forward to if hubs goes to king of the hammers and I have a few days of freedom? (Though he still wants me to join at the end of the week...think his plot is I ride with friends in their motorhome when they go up (they were originally thinking of going up for the Friday - so Thursday after work?)Though....our dogs get along and the kids are good kids but a long drive in a motorhome with two big dogs, two hyped up kids (unless they sleep. Which would be awesome but having peach and I in the motorhome May add an X factor of insanity)...sigh. They’re tossing around the idea of leaving earlier which hubs is upset it thwarts his plan but I told him hey. Worse comes to worse peach and I go up in my car. (Though right now I think I’d rather stay home...)
Anyway. Huge rant. He’s been driving me mad lately.
Nugget got a bath today. Tried the dawn wash on her since she was filthy gross. I forgot she had brown feathers lol. She wasn’t impressed with the bath but I did try to do that outside so it wasn’t as warm as it should have been - but she tolerated. She did surprisingly well though with the blow drying - I took her inside to blow dry her. And she forgave me. After I released her again she was following me around the yard again.
(Though the flock did get the poor treatment again tonight so....)
Someone in the neighborhood got a water feature. And the fact that we can hear it quite well and it’s not the neighbors on either side implies it’s a good sized one.
I also finally (FINALLY!) planted my cape honeysuckle. I meant to put it in the run but the girls were too voracious with it. So it’s in the corner of the dog run and hopefully it’ll fill in some more and be a decent screen. Hubs made a comment on how gasp I dug my own hole. Well yes. When the ground is soft cause it rained not even a week ago (Actually now is the perfect time to dig, it’s soft but not sticky - clay soiled peeps you know what I’m sayin!) then yes. I can dig a hole. When it’s rock hard and we’re digging in the rockiest spots of the yard and it’s bakingly hot and sunny....I do have issues.
