Still got a bad cough & sinus drainage. Just took a Mucinex. House is not very warm. We have caulked & insulated this 150 year old farm house, but when the wind blows it's not very warm.

Yeah, i think the wood contracts when its cold and then you have gaps. How do you heat it?

Yeah winter can be nasty. I think it is going to warm up soon. I am happy if its above freezing and not windy.

I can see it. It just shows bright rainbow of color wood stains.

This house would be like the inside of a freezer in those temps. It is not well insulated since we don't get extreme temps.

I don't have the clothes for those cold temps.
I grew up in an old house, built around 1908 or so. It was pretty well insulated... has lath and plaster wall that are almost a foot thick. Kept things fairly cool in summer. Wasn't the warmest house in the winter, especially in my room that had four old sash windows (with old wavy glass). Three of the windows formed a little bay that stuck out a bit... when the wind blew, the curtains would move, even when the windows were closed! brrrr

We used pallets and three stains, but each type of board handled the stain differently. It was a lot of fun.
