Granny's gone and done it again

We moved here in May. 13 acres on a river. No town, not even landline access here. But about 20 minutes away is a small town that has the basics. It is lovely.

Now the snow is melted. I planted a peach tree and a plum tree yesterday!

If you could see all that has been accomplished, you would be amazed! We had 2 sheds built, one for my workshop, one as a garage and feed storage. Had them wired for electric and a water hydrant installed near the garage. Had the deck built around 2 more sides of the house. Hubby built a skid to pull the canoe up out of the water. He cut wood and split it to heat the house. I built an 8x10 chicken coop, and got 2 used dog runs to use for runs. Then i started a hoop coop the day the contractor started to build my goat shed. I beat the contractor, we started Oct 21st and he is still not done! I call him Slacker. I have guineas in the hoop coop, and rabbits in the goat barn. I need to get fencing up before i get goats.

This is Eustace, named after a guy in a homesteader tv show. All the goats had names starting with e that year. He was the last one i had before we left TN to help my parents in FL.
So that is most of the stuff we did so far except repairs and small cages etc.

Wow. That is truly amazing. I have room for maybe a goat or 2.. I have this big empty metal barn stall thing that was used for horses.. I have a shed that is in much need of repair. Im just now getting use to having a well.. Lol the water froze this year and I had no idea what to do!! That is why there is a heatlamp in the well house. Hahahah. Our closest store is 25 minutes on the freeway either to Tumwater or Centralia. It will be anadventure fixing this little house up but right now I just want to get the backyard finished being fenced in so little Rocco can potty without being watched.. Waiting on funds is the hardest part

Have a safe trip , Wishing!
I went to feed the guineas and it is such a nice day i decided to let them out of the hoop coop. They have been cooped up in there since November to try and get them thinking that is their home. So i let them out and right away they flew back to the chicken coop where they used to live!

I might come to Virginia in May for a conference. I should drive out and visit you.
