Pam, here is a picture of my crested SFH like Alleys hen. Similar coloring, she was one of my late molters this year. Her coloring is lighter than she was last year.

@twisted-acres-farm ~ twist, saw you had posted pictures of Bielefelders yesterday. I've had that breed before, in fact still have one hen. They are a very docile breed, big birds, BIG eaters & personally I found their eggs very difficult to hatch in a incubator. I no longer have a roo because I decided last year they weren't a breed I was going to continue with. Her is a picture of my old roo & my one young hen. She will be a year this spring & is starting to lose a few feathers, wondering if she is going to molt soon.

Love the crest too, only ever had one crested female & a unrelated crested roo a few years ago.

I thought mine would be crested but when she hatched she looked like a normal chick.

I have been starving all day today. So after work I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of junk food, and went to subway. I got a pizza and spicy Italian footlong. Only half a footlong left

You never know if they will be or not. I rehomed my crested roo because someone had told me not to breed 2 crested birds. Guess it can cause problems.

Omg, last time i ate one of those it about killed me! It was really tasty though!
