Granny's gone and done it again

She’ll be three this summer. Haven’t had too many adventures - life has just been crazy. That and she went through a HARD moult. She’d still act all curious but don’t touch her (not that I blame her poor girl) which really sucked when she wanted in the garden bit that I’ve got fenced off and I’ll lift her in there every now and then for pest control...bottom pic was a few weeks ago View attachment 1265027View attachment 1265028View attachment 1265029
Ouch.

DH accuses me of that too!
Camping, what you are doing at that camp is a labor of love. You will never get rich working/ living there but you do it for the kids. It is a 24 / 7 job. It’s the same for me and my dog breeding. I get good money for my pups but it’s a 24/7 job. I can’t leave when I want to. I have all the worry and anxiety of taking care of animals. People really don’t know what we go through when we raise animals. When we get up every two hours to feed a little and they die anyway it takes a little piece of our heart. The highs and lows are tremendous. I think you taking care of that camp is a lot of the same. God bless you and your family for taking care of a place for kids to go and get the experience of a lifetime.

Thanks h2o. :hugs It’s nice to hear that other people can see it too. When we interviewed for this place their books were in such a mess that the salary that was offered was “to be determined.” They had no idea what to pay us or how much they had. But we said yes anyway, because we believe in this place. DH has struggled the past couple years with being burned out, but I think he’s recovering. It’s truly a labor of love, and I can’t see myself doing anything else.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
