Granny's gone and done it again

2 green eggs, 2 polish eggs this am. Critters fed.
Camp, my DD had that pallet garden going good 2 years ago. Had to move due to discovery of black mold in the house. 4 squash/pallet, corn, beans, cantelope, peppers, tomatoes. Lay the tomato plants down in the row. Only leave the top above soil. She put landscape fabric below the pallets. Put the pallets down end against end to make it easier to mow around and keep the vines put back up on the pallet. She had pole beans & had put up a teepee they were growing on.
I know more about gardening than about chickens.
Join us in the garden thread some time Jane.

I have read most of it, camp, & have posted a couple of times. I stay too busy with my gkids & critters. My reading is usually done in the middle of the night when I wake up with pain in my back & leg.

I saw some of your posts looking back today. I have trouble keeping everything straight.

I’ll try to update here too if I have a question. Thanks Jane :hugs

I was working on the bunny water system. I had help.

Your guess is as good as mine! Definitely a bit of lab (webbed toes). Definitely a bit of Aussie/border collie. Sometimes I see a bit of bulldog or pit or hound. DH said we should dna test her
I hope you do the DNA test. It would be fun to know what she is.

Oops. Hard frost. We’ll see what survives....
Oh bummer. Things here aren't built for these kinds of temps. I covered as much as I could.

Just got home. DH texted last night that the gray silkie was dead. Oh well, we tried. I hear chicks crying so I go check and two buff orps are also dead. Think the ones with broken wings, need to check. They were acting puffy. Also their water is empty and bedding is soaked, so maybe that had something to do with it.
That's too bad, but maybe meant to be. :(

We might need to try the pallet method. No digging and I can set it up in one of the few sunny spots. Does anyone use a double layer of pallets?

hahaa! Totally a Siamese. :) Based on that look, he is trying to control your mind. Also, very Siamese.

How was your day, Dear?
Not bad, lost 4 lbs so back to normal jiggle . I was in and out of there . I got some onion rings and munched them on the way home. Mind you, I never eat onions unless they disappear into what ever im cooking. These were some really thick ones and seemed like an endless bag. Took me most the way home to eat them so now my dinner sits untouched.
