I dont remember us getting much snow this winter but I dont remember much. LOL I remember the ice 2xs because it is just so beautiful . Its throws all colors when the sun hits it like a diamond .

Yep and trees end up split and broken. Have two beside my driveway I'm gonna have to take a chainsaw to. Last icy spell finished them

Mine are still fairly young and can bend still. But I seen a humongous willow come down in town. It was so pretty too.

I used to read this master gardener a lot. (before computer) He was asked what his secret was to such strong healthy trees. His answer stuck with me forever. He quoted the Bible. Spare the rod, spoil the child. Then he went on to explain. When he planted a tree he would cut a switch and go out there and "whip" the tree . They built up scar tissue that made them strong. Not exactly his words but close enough .

It is but kinda makes sense too. what dont kill us makes us stronger ? LOL I think the reason it worked for him was because by doing that he probably killed off weaker stock only leaving strong trees .
