Granny's gone and done it again

Langshan! Interesting color... Blue?
Greyish. The joys of tsc birds lol. I guess we’ll find out as they get older!!

Sad cause lorps were a breed I really wanted. Oh well. TSC Mystery chicks (tm)

Wonder how many pullets are actually pullets lol

Yep, set them on Valentine’s Day. Temp was low like a day or 2 at beginning. This bator has a ton of temp problems this time.
I’m waiting on pips! I couldn’t see any internal pips when I candled. I bet they will hold off until Wednesday. The ones I hatched in June waited until day 21.

I vote BR and BO.
Curses. I didn’t really want another barred hen. But wait. Don’t BR’s have yellow legs? There’s some black. Perhaps another Maran for me?

:barnie :rant :barnie

Something killed a roo in the fenced back yard and only ate the head. It was alive this morning. Josie is my #1 suspect. I expected this to happen at 6-8mos, not 10 weeks. Luckily it was a spare. Unluckily it was the one I was planning to sell tomorrow.

oh my ! Glad you did. Will chickens go after baby when it comes ?
They can't get in the goat pen. There is chicken wire over the top, then 2 cattle panels arched over it with a tarp over them. They are on top of a side panel roosting.

idk The proper term for it but yellow legs with black over top is normal for BRs. I hope it turns out different for you.

They are feathered!

(Edit cause that may have sounded crazyperson) the greys do have feathers feet. It’s just crappy idiot behind the camera can’t take a good shot lol
you guys are just going faster then me. You showed the brown one with yellow head and asked if it was langshen. I was saying no to that one.
