Granny's gone and done it again

I guess the orp could be the dark one...
What kind of Orps did they have? Usually Buff is the color. Nice golden yellow chick.

Greyish. The joys of tsc birds lol. I guess we’ll find out as they get older!!
Sad cause lorps were a breed I really wanted. Oh well. TSC Mystery chicks (tm)
Wonder how many pullets are actually pullets lol
Did this TSC allow people to handle the chicks? Kids come in and pick them up and put them in the wrong tubs, as do the employees that don't no nuthin' 'bout no chickens!
Lorps and Orps both have white skin. Lorps will have dark legs, but if you look at the bottom of their feet, you'll see the white.

Curses. I didn’t really want another barred hen. But wait. Don’t BR’s have yellow legs? There’s some black. Perhaps another Maran for me?
Yellow skin, yes, but they have a black wash on the legs... supposed to be more of a pullet thing, so at least that's good.

Something killed a roo in the fenced back yard and only ate the head. It was alive this morning. Josie is my #1 suspect. I expected this to happen at 6-8mos, not 10 weeks. Luckily it was a spare. Unluckily it was the one I was planning to sell tomorrow.
Too bad about the rooster. Did you check her teeth for feathers? Are her teeth even big enough to chew the head off? I would suspect something else. Weasels are notorious for eating the heads, and so are hawks and owls.

Feeling green today, so much pain. My IBS is really messing me up. It was so bad i was sweating and nearly passed out.:sick
Maybe you ought to take it easy. Do you know how?:) Seems like you you like to keep moving!

and Robert is saying its day 17.
Is he missing any fingers? :D

It’s just in the middle of the back yard. I guess hawk could be likely, but we were outside most of the day. There was a pretty loud commotion one time, but I assumed it was roos squabbling with each other or guineas.

She is only ten weeks? How much does she weigh?

I think it was that football personally. Someone really used some strength

I had a hawk grab a chicken like 20 feet from me and fly off with her still screaming! It was awful!
