Granny's gone and done it again

I didn’t see anything, probs because I thought to grab the rifle first. I was thinking snake, but all I found was Jim and Topaz in the same nest box. :hu and a teensy banty egg from the last cochin. So all that racket and Topaz didn’t even lay. But I did snap a pic when she jumped back in the box.

When a roo is scratching around in a nest, is it the same as like a mom checking under the bed for monsters?

I got a few pics of Jim’s daughter, the single-barred leghorn/legbar. I think that’s her mom that jumped up with her.

glad there was no snake.
Is it sort of like ghost barring?

They sure are pretty. I have one that I can't tell the egg song from an alarm, and she even gets the others going. Most reliable alert is the cockatiel when he sees a hawk out the window. He's good. But you're right, it was probably the gun...

How's Jewel's foot?

Scabby and not as purple. I need to watch her go outside to see if she’s putting weight on it. Her whole underside looks like hives, or chicken pox, and sticky from her licking it. Only sternum to vent, and inside both thighs. It looks the same as the inside of her ear leather, and almost looks like an allergy? I need to bathe her in hypoallergenic shampoo and give her the cone, but I can’t do that until the kennel is empty of baby plants, and I can’t do that til the bed is built, so I’m stapling landscape fabric to pallets. :thumbsup

Good to be home. The weather man says its 55 out there and i don't believe it. I want to crawl back in bed.
I did end up buying the Ecoglow 20 at TSC, it was on sale and they only had one. I hid it in the workshop, hoping hubby misses it. He doesn't need to know how much it was.

I’ve told you exactly everything I know.
I never knew until a thread was talking about sex links. I had a blue chick born with a head dot. It’s very faint but you could see it better after he grew up. I no longer have him. But you can see the barring in the hackle and tail feathers best.
