Granny's gone and done it again

So get home tonight. Go outside. Notice the patio couch has been worked on by the dog. I am surprised and confused. Ten and a half years old and the entire ten years she’s been with me, she’s never tried to destroy furniture before...so I stop and think. There was a baby bunny under there at one point. Was the baby bunny teasing her? Lift up the sofa...nope. See this.

Poor little fledgling starling.

Hubs had to help me catch it when he came home cause the couch is heavy so holding it up with one arm and trying to catch a bitty with the other....yeah no. So we catch it...now what? Hubs starts looking at starling care. I end up scrambling an egg to try to feed it in the meantime (that didn’t go over well) and eventually the decision was made.

This is how we get High on 4/20.

Yep. Hubs had me lift him up so he could put the starling back up there.

Did you leave him up there all night ?? Or not currently irritated with him??

I was going to say that I wouldn’t try that, but then I remember we put birds in the back of the truck and haul down the interstate so that’s not any different. They just burrow down.

My tomatoes did the same. I’m mad at myself for having seedlings started but not having beds ready. I’ve lost most of them; I should’ve just waited til it was warm enough to sow out. Hopefully next year will be easier with everything already in place.

:fl the story gardener's tell themselves every year. :D

Well going to try and grab a quick nap. My night, bed at 1 up at 2:30 to potty (to much coffee) Then Beth "freaked" out about 5 am and had to go check on the pups. And the alarm went off about 6:15. The new puppy parent's came over still no decision want to see how both pup's walked/moved in the grass. Which is when I discovered that Beth really didn't need to check on the pups at 5am BUT NEEDED to remove all the store bought puppy toys from the box and haul/scatter them through out the yard. INCLUDING the new ones still in the plastic bag on the side table. :barnie

They finally decided on Rowe and he snuggled right in the Mrs. arms/neck and went to sleep. He pooped while in the back yard. She was going to ride in the seat with him on the way home and they had lots of newspaper in the way back incase he needed to piddle or move around. They did take a puppy towel/blanket that had been in the box which smells like home to the pup with mommy and sibling odors. I offer that to all my buyer's. Personally I think it makes the first couple nights alone MUCH easier for the pup to adjust to.

Beth seems fine with one less pup and the pup's left don't really seem to care either.
