We only have grass for a few months, and they would be going after my shrubs and trees. I need a sheep to mow.The chickens have been given the run of the entire back since winter, and they have abandoned their smaller chicken yard, so it got over grown. Not sure if I will lock them in their yard at all this year, since we really aren't doing a garden this year. Guess it depends on how tired I get of poop on the patio.
Yes, we have trimmed all the branches away from the house so it leans away now, but branches on the low side touch the ground and are holding it up quite well. It should never have been allowed to come up so close to the house, but was here when we bought. I am worried it has a fungus, so may end up being firewood in a few years. We will seriously miss the shade in the summer.
