You need a proper grooming table. Cost about 100 dollars.

Or you can buy the legs and make your own. I used to have one that fit perfectly on top of a big vari kennel. And you can buy the arms as well.

Used to be able to buy rubber runners by the foot. That was what i used. I had big rolls of it for the obedience classes i taught.
