Granny's gone and done it again

I’m not catching up. Lol.

So. Migraine after period ends is actually a thing. I know people scoff at medical advice on the internet but I’m glad for it. Good to know it’s a thing. Left work early cause between the nausea and the shakes (brain pain wasn’t fun either) I was of no use to anyone. Well. Good thing I planned on going in Friday anyway. Not gonna be short on the check. Couple hours of just being flopped in the darker bedroom has helped, functional at least...

Anyway. Yes. Period two of no pills. Surprisingly granny, I’ve stayed pretty regular thus far. But then, even pre pills I was somewhat regular. It was just DEATH PERIOD. luckily, death period hasn’t made a comeback...but vile post period migraine has decided to come to the party.

Little peeps are doing well. I’m debating if I should do a commingled free range this weekend to see how they do. I’ve still got at least a month I think before I’m ok leaving them in the coop and run full time though - no roof on the run and those little bitties are still small enough to be raptor bait. Especially the mystery chick now known as Sally. (She kinda got named by my coworker) The...gold Hamburg? Or whatever she is? She’s a dainty one. I’m hoping she’ll prove to be agile and watchful but...I don’t want to chance it. If she is what I think she is, she’s my only white egg layer.

As far as I know.

Trim his feathers? Trim the hens’ feathers? Is he the only roo? The breeder was telling me yesterday that in her Sussex pen she had two roos and when one mounted, the other would knock him off so she wasn’t getting any chicks.
Ya I need to do some trimming, got a bunch of fluffy butts out there. He is the only roo I have. I did have him seperated with a batch of girls but I decided I was so over it today. They have very limited time left to free range before the gardens are planted & they cant be out. Broody's were driving nuts today. I went to go check on the 2 babies & momma had trampled one of them to death. She's been acting so crazy today. The other baby will probably be dead by morning by the way she is acting. :hit No more hatching after curly Sue & her 1 egg is done.

It runs around our property, like a horse shoe. Luckily all our buildings are WAY up some very steep hills so no danger to them.
The island is completely under water and the poor Canada Geese nesting there probably lost another batch of eggs. The river got the last batch too.
Good gracious cap!! That’s some flooding! And see above...the truth about Canadian geese.
