It is the ovary, that AFTER fertilization will develop to fruit.
(You can see that the flower bud is closed ) The Cucurbitaceae have an epigynous flower.

If you will Take The flower fill it with goat cheese put in egg and breadcrumbs and fry it in butter you will have a wonderful treat!

Got pics of the coop brooder babies. When the layer pellets run out I’m going to integrate everyone together. I have flock raiser now. All the honas look like roos, which I feel like is karma somehow.
