I used to hear it is easier to replace the whole commode then top half off ? I have nice toilets. when we came here they were so low to the ground they looked like kids potty chairs.except for the center part which contains the overflow tube, You have to take the entire tank off of the seat part and they usually don't wear out. NOW whenever I remodel a bathroom EVERYTHING on the toilet is replaced.

I will dig a hole in the yard. LOL Sounds easierNO I don't replace the tank but you have to unbolt it from the seat part and then replace the overflow section and the gaskets. and then screw back together and pray you don't over tighten and break either the tank or the seat part.
I'd never heard this before. Hubs knew it.oak tree your in my way.
