Sorry camping, hope you get it straighten out.DD came home just absolutely broken-hearted. The situation is probably a misunderstanding, but the end result is that two days before the “good behavior” field trip to a go-kart ranch she had to clip down twice. So now she is ineligible for the field trip and won’t receive her plaque for never being in trouble.
Allegedly she was waiting in line with another friend and the friend sai “my uncle is stupid, stupid, stupid.” Then the friend said “my uncle is ...” and DD finished the sentence: “stupid.” The teacher heard her and made her clip down twice and told her she wasn’t going to the go-kart ranch. I am furious, and I have already called and left a voicemail with her.
I believe in consequences for actions, but I also believe that the punishment should fit the crime. Seems like saying “stupid” should be a warning, at least the first time.
Go kart ranch? They would never allow a field trip like that in California. Too dangerous.
