I didn’t touch food to be served or hug necks today. Got a few loads of laundry done. Heat has drained me. I should go look for ice cream.

Pulled weeds, fed critters, made 2 quarts of bread & butter frig pickles, boiling 20 eggs to make some German pickled eggs. Feels like 88* here so i'm staying inside til about 6.

Hope you feel better soon camp! Took me about a week after all the other symptoms stopped to get any energy back. Lots of rest helped

Morning, all. Birthday bash is today, biggest event of the year. Baby girl goat died yesterday, and I’m sure it’s because the big goats weren’t letting her eat. I’m so upset about it. Ranger is picky about his milk now, but up drinking water and nibbling at calf feed. He was scouring less but it’s yellow today, so maybe too much milk again? I need to hose him down good. Kane is here and killed the big rat snake that was eating all of Fluttershy’s eggs. I’m not sure how many she has left, only 4 yesterday but I found a broken shell today so maybe she’s actually the one eating them. She’s not a very good broody. Racecar is doing great.

Bubba, DH, and I are over the virus. DH and I still feel weak. DD is blowing from both ends and was so sick yesterday she didn’t have time to get up, so she pooped on the sofa and puked on the floor three separate times. DH was not home and I threatened to divorce him. This heat just zaps me so bad.

Man , you had bad luck with those auction goats!

I bought a ton of stuff today, some at Southern States, some at TSC, some at Walmart and Goodwill. Nobody had reasonable hanging waterers in stock, i wanted one for the turkeys. So i settled for one that sits on the floor, at least they won't drink it all in ten minutes! Got metal bunny feed holders, paint, polyurethane, hinges, snaps etc.

So i now have the triple brooder full with my purchase of 15 , 2 week old quail. I need to build a turkey tractor or 2 asap!

Yep, everytime we got mice in the basement when we had a dog, I would find dog food stashes they hauled off at night

DW found a bunch of small seeds in one of her boots that was out on the enclosed porch all winter. We tell the cats they need to show us an empty mouth before we let them back in through the dining room window.

It was a double yolk! She has never laid a double before so I figure that’s why the shell is like that.
Yep cats got it.

Why did the cats get it? Perfectly good for people. 2 egg omelette from a single shell

I will get some poison today.

Are you not concerned the dogs and cats might decide to be helpful after it dies from eating poison?
