I got a shut off notice/call from my utility company, I messed with him for a good 16 minutes before telling him to "piss off' and that the cops had traced the number and were informing the local law enforcement

Good for you! I have just sat there not saying anything to see how long it takes for them to hang up. Have heard some good cursing! Sometimes I tell them I am collecting for such and such charity, and if they donate to mine, I'll donate to theirs. Funny, but we get disconnected a lot if the time. Strange, huh?

the amount of junk mail from credit card companies has dropped dramatically since I started putting one cards offer into a different card envelope and mailed them back to each other. NOT my trash you deal with it.

They say they are representing the police association. I know they are paid fundraisers here because we get calls from the police but we are in sheriff jurisdiction.

Poor Tom, I feel for him. He thinks he is a burden. He was making me coffee. I didnt ask him to. and the very short walk was too much . Its getting worse. His DD is trying to get her car fixed in case I need her to come down. sigh..
