View attachment 1424078 View attachment 1424080 Bad news first. I lost my two hobbits. One was a confirmed suicide by neighbor dog, the other we can’t find a body but we suspect the same thing. Neighbor’s dogs tore the one apart. Poor langshans. They must have hopped the fence. We never thought that would be an issue with them - they didn’t seem insane jumpers. I always thought it’d be the Hamburg but I guess she’s too smart for that.
Good news - floppy comb piggy is doing better. She’s out and about with the rest of the flock in the run. Took some pics. At least there’s some good chicken news in my flock today.

So sorry Star. This is your first loss ? Hopefully your last for a very long time. Not necessarily. Mine make a bump every time, and i generally get the whole tick. I just checked the dogs for ticks and pulled them off.Nope. Bites are still there and still itchy but only if I scratch them . Toms tick bite dont look good. Circle of red is bigger and looks like the start of a boil with a very tiny head. can feel a good sized knot under the skin. I bet she missed something.
Sorry Star! It always sucks to lose birds. Hugs.View attachment 1424078 View attachment 1424080 Bad news first. I lost my two hobbits. Oddly enough this was my second and third loss. I lost one pullet from my main flock three years ago to a hawk. I’ve lucked out since then.So sorry Star. This is your first loss ? Hopefully your last for a very long time.
Them barred rocks are good for giving you the stink eye.
