Yes, i caught several of them at night when they didn't return to the coop! What a chore! One i chased all over hell and back before i got her. They can sure run!

hahaa I never was able to catch one unless it was already in the coop and I had the net.

I caught three out of four one night. I wouldn't have bothered them if they went up in a tree but they just sat on the ground.

Well the neighbor came up to me - we were helping another neighbor with something and asks if I’m missing any chickens and says his dogs got one it’s in the garbage.

Sigh. It’s his dogs being dogs. It’s my fault for not having the fence taller. If the dogs were in our yard it would be another story but.

Glad your rock is doing better. I've had a couple chickens go through something similar. Thought we were going to lose them, but they pulled through. I just assumed it was an egg problem. One, I think the egg broke inside.
