Have made pink pickled eggs, pickled beets & am working on Dilly beans. Busy day today. No, H2o, I don't pickle collards.

Oh I guess you said you picked collards. You have to shell all the eggs before you pickle, correct? These fresh eggs are so hard to shell.

I bought stuff for a salad, cuke, tomatoes , head lettuce. Tomatoes were hard as a rock so we had a cuke salad. LOL
I sliced a cuke ,pealed and put it in an empty jar of pickle juice. Will it be good ?

Turkeys need 10 sq ft per bird in the coop, and 20 sq feet in the run. I have to count turkeys next time i am out there. Did you know you can produce sex linked Turkeys with Chocolate or Narragansett Toms? I am working on designing a coop for them. We have a spot picked out, i just need to lop off all the brush and hubby will take care of the trees.

They will keep ? I love the clausen pickles. They say they are never cooked and you have to keep them in the fridge. Robert keeps drinking the juice so I told him hands off this jar and we will see if we can make some we can eat. (no skin/seeds)
