I got the frame put together for a quail pen. I still need one more piece for the floor, but i may need to use a bit of hardware cloth since i am out of the good stuff.
I had a text from someone today interested in guail, i need to sex the ones i have to sell and leg band the boys. They want to buy trios. Fine by me. I need to weed out my excess any way.

My Polish rooster flogged me for the last time today. I was collecting eggs and he just started attacking. Hard to fight back when your hands are full. I put the eggs down and he spurred me! I grabbed him by both wings and took him over to a cage i had for sale and tossed him in. I will be processing him tomorrow. The hens were rather confused, my sweet Speckled Sussex girls are so nice and friendly. They deserve a better roo. I am going to have to introduce the Ss roo and 2 pullets to them. I think it will work best if i switch which half of the coop they are in.

Yes, 2 babies in 2 different incubators!
