Thats wonderful. I had a therpy ? dog once. She let me know my sugar was about to drop and would jump on me and wrap her paws around my neck so I couldnt get up. I loved that dog like no other.

How heart breaking way to go Josie I think puppy found her niche in life
My kiddo was the same way in her younger years animals tend to take to children who have special needs both mentally and physically.Every animal I owned as kiddo was growing up I could trust alone including the horses .I remember a time when our 1 horse was laying down stretched out & there was kiddo laying with the horse , priceless Animals are angels they sense things we can't what a blessing

I bet the girl would love having a special job. Can she help with Josie? Walk her? Or maybe with the chicks? A little extra responsibility can increase self esteem.

She has CITs in rotation to keep her company. Our activities are “challenge by choice,” so any kid can sit out for any reason. We encourage participation first, and try to explain the process or rules or whatever, and ask them to give it a try, but even “I don’t want to” is valid.

But you’re all right, she especially loves the farm and the chicks/chickens. DD is also keeping an eye out for the girl.

Our long-time autistic camper is here this week. Yesterday he was petting the cows and asked me to text a picture to his mom.

Raining all day. All the girls synced up to my cycles, so one of the boys on staff bought chocolates but I haven’t seen any yet. it’s a good day for naps though.
