Granny's gone and done it again

Pro I hope that lady lets you lower the AC today. Unfit working conditions!

I get in. She beat me and the other admin in and set the ac to 81. She was cloistered in her office so I said nuts to it, better to seek forgiveness than ask permission so I knock it down to 79...seriously I was feeling ill. Other admin was debating going home if she kept it up like that. After a while she noticed the ac was on knocks it back to 81 and says oh I got an alert from the power company that the rates are going to go up between 2-6. So we’re keeping it at 81.

I debated going to the back to do my payroll stuff (cause it’s generally a little bit cooler back there) and said what the hades. Went into her office and offered a compromise. 79° until 2, THEN due to high electric costs I’ll turn it to 81. She agreed (though I think she’s a bit salty with me now) but seriously.

So it’s 79 which is still bloody hot but at least I don’t feel like I’m going to throw up and/or die.

Returned from speech therapy hubby tried pudding excellent I was so proud he seems to be doing better each visit therapist is considering a swallow study to see where hubby is at

I hate skin flints, or cheap skates . My Dad was so tight with money, it was pitiful. I remember when we went to a drive through fast food place. He made everyone order the cheapest item, then he would go to a grocery store and get a big bottle of soda and cups. Warm soda, yuck.

I hate skin flints, or cheap skates . My Dad was so tight with money, it was pitiful. I remember when we went to a drive through fast food place. He made everyone order the cheapest item, then he would go to a grocery store and get a big bottle of soda and cups. Warm soda, yuck.

At least you got that the only time we'd get something was to apologize for the beating (over did it)not the usual

You know, I can take frugality to a whole new level. But there comes a point where health and wellness matter too for your employees.

Then the bosses wonder why they have to keep training new staff! I had a horrible boss in one place i worked for a long time. I went to the office one day shortly before Christmas when i was on vacation to deliver gifts to my co workers. The supervisor lit into me for posting a calendar on the wall! What?! I transferred to a different office when her supervisor refused to talk to her. Expected me to work it out with that screaming witch. Why should i take abuse over nothing? Lots of people posted stuff near their desks. And you know what? That office misses me to this day. That company is why i quit nursing. Just jerks.
