I get in. She beat me and the other admin in and set the ac to 81. She was cloistered in her office so I said nuts to it, better to seek forgiveness than ask permission so I knock it down to 79...seriously I was feeling ill. Other admin was debating going home if she kept it up like that. After a while she noticed the ac was on knocks it back to 81 and says oh I got an alert from the power company that the rates are going to go up between 2-6. So we’re keeping it at 81.
I debated going to the back to do my payroll stuff (cause it’s generally a little bit cooler back there) and said what the hades. Went into her office and offered a compromise. 79° until 2, THEN due to high electric costs I’ll turn it to 81. She agreed (though I think she’s a bit salty with me now) but seriously.
So it’s 79 which is still bloody hot but at least I don’t feel like I’m going to throw up and/or die.
