Granny's gone and done it again

Well, sad story time. I am not sure what brought this to mind today.
My nephew was 17 yrs. and went out with some friends One of them being a legal older adult. He drove my nephew and his friend to a liquor store and bought them booze. Later in the evening this man puts the keys to his van in my nephews hands and says, I am too drunk to drive, you drive. Being 17 he was on top of the world. Til he hit the medium and sent the van airborn. Ohh no worries, he was ok as was everyone else in the van. The car he landed on however took the life of a beautiful young mom of 3 . My nephew finished growing up in prison, the man that owned the van and bought the booze walked away free and even sat on the victims side of the court room. My nephew did his time. Like 15 yrs. but never grew up mentally . He kinda froze at 17. He was so young and pretty I dont need to say what happened to him in prison. 3 children grew up cheated of a mother.
Moral of the story, When I say dont drink and drive, The life you save may be mine .
Remember this story. It only takes a split second of stupidity to change a whole familys future.

Wow Granny, you sure brought it home to me.. Tho I never have anyone in my car after I drink.. However, I am guilty of driving after drinking.. It's not something I usually do, but I need to slow down my drinking..

I just built a triple nest box for the quail. And i am making a feeder from a sand pail and a baking tin.
I need to make more wire carriers to take birds to the swap this weekend. And i have quail eggs that need to go in the bator .

Lol, there's probably two taxi cabs in all of Lakeland.. Besides, I drink, but I make sure I can drive back home.. My car is my baby, don't want to leave it anywhere.. Lol..

There are also places that will tow you home free sometimes if you need it. I just drink at home, problem solved. What kind of car do you have?

I mostly drink at home or at a neighbors, so I can just walk home..

When I was in insurance, I would reinburse -spelling?- everyone at either office who called car service after an office event..

Wishing, Is pickled beets what they put in greek salads ? I like those.

Never had Greek salad. Pickled beets are like pickles, but made with beetroot. Hubs likes them. I've never made them.

Just got in from closing up the birds. Good thing i noticed 2 polish out. They were just standing around soaked and miserable. 1Tolbunt cockerel and a buff laced hen. I put them in their proper coops. I will sure be glad when i get the new coop built! I built another panel for the run, and a door to fit in it. Hopefully tomorrow i can finish that run except maybe a small piece to attach to the coop. I would love to get the coop started.

Omg, i have 2 Polish pullets i named Dumb and Dumber. Some days i leave the doors open so they can free range. Dumb and Dumber can't figure how to get out. There are two doors, one whole end of the tractor and a big door on the side! SMH. The other pullet i named Dora, because she goes off exploring with the 2 cockerels. Hoping she doesn't run into trouble.
