Yeah, but it's hard to beat the weather overall. These really bad fires are a newer threat across the entire western part of the country and Canada. Pine beetles and drought have done a number on the pine forests... killed so many trees, it's hard to imagine, and they are just waiting for a spark.

Yeah I gotta get peach’s bug out box sorted still, and need to get some kennels for chicken evac if needed. (That being said I know full well that it likely won’t be a full evac of my chickens. I expect some will be jerks and not want to get caught)

Speaking of peach. She’s mad I’m up and hubs is still in bed lol. She keeps nosing her way back into the bedroom to check on him and wake him up lol. Well. Bitties are also waking up so I don’t think he’ll be sleeping much longer anyway. That Buckeye is NOISY.

buckeyes were developed in Ohio to withstand cold. RIR mix I suspect. Those roos are told to be mean too.

No, I’ll have to add that to my “to read” list. (Currently on “America’s First Daughter” by Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie- it’s an interesting read so far. I’ve only gotten about 120 pages into it though lol)

That was a bad one. I was struck by how calm the Canadian people seemed... not a lot of tears and drama, but a practical can-do attitude. I like it.

Peach has good instincts... get him up so he can make your coffee!

Hope the Buckeye gets the cheeping all out of its system. I had crossed them off my list of possibles for some reason... maybe it was that they are noisy... can't remember.
