sigh NOTHING like starting a project backasswards.

Making refridgerator pickles, peeled and sliced over 24 cups of cukes, 3 cups of green peppers and 3 cups of onions ALL FROM my garden. Was about to salt them and then you let them "marinate" for 1/2 hour before rinse the life out of them and then mixing the brine and jarring, These will keep and be good past New Years. Realized NO clean jars so dishwasher is running currently.

brine is easy AVC and mustard seed and sugar that's it.

making 3 separate batches.

AND I have about a 5 gallon pail of cukes to BIG for my taste for the chickens or yaks or who ever at the farm wants them.

That sounds good! At least you will have freshly washed jars. At least you had some spare jars and didn’t have to run to the store.

Uhhh I sent them back. I feel bad but for 3 days straight they all had explosive green diarrhea. Up the wall, on the rug and several other surfaces. When she gave them to me 1 had it and then they all ended up with it.

the lady said they probably have coccidia which means it’d be upstairs with my dogs. I wasn’t happy.
