Just made it home. Had to drop brother off for sleep study, guess they discovered apnea when he was at the ER a few weeks ago. I have to leave here at 5am to pick him up. They lock up at 6:30am so if I don’t make it there in time he has to walk across campus to the main branch. Sketchy area.

I suspect a possible twin still, BUT Sheila was to bloated for anyone being willing to "open her up" 100* heat will do that. So will be a repeat of Enola and wait until nature's clean up crew does there job and then see if there is a tiny skull inside her.

Oh and MY "vet" is now on vacation until the 14 or 15 of this month.

Big babys are in the serama coop and littles in the big brooder. all 21 of them. 7 to the serama coop. all pullets . Too early to tell sex on the 21 littles Lots of coco pops . so 28 total newbies but as soon as I figure out roos They will go.

well my LIFE officially SUCKS Robert called about 4 hours ago. Crazy Sheila is dead.
Rod of course leaving tonight. BUt he is bringing Curly Sue in and then she is going to Vickies and bless her Vickie will bottle feed every 4 to 5 hours. I managed to get out of here long enough to pick up bottles and lamb milk replacer NO SOY OR ANTIBIOTICS

Twist, you need to get hold of a vet ASAP to come autopsy and get tissue samples to figure out what is going on. You've lost 2 cows to the same thing. You don't want to lose any more. Is there a vet program at the university? Get on the phone and see if anyone can help. Call around to any vet and get some help.

When it's hot, it doesn't take long for the bloat. Internal body temp on a big animal like that... would take a long cold night to cool it enough to prevent bloat.

I didnt do very good at the last swap w/ them. Early spring is when everyone goes chick crazy . Thet give them away in the fall.

2 polish are out there. Seen a stray cat today .
It didnt bother me to cull the extra roos. I think it did you . I cant tell the roos yet. I dont think there are many this time.
