Rod and Vickie did have to "alter" the nipple as the hole was to small and then stretch it out to fit over the bottle as the one's that came with the bottles were to small to start with. And cattle bottle's the nipples are to big

I will try calling the research and experimental station here in town in the morning and see what they think. The problem might be that yaks are still "exotic" up here and they may know nothing and/or have no ideas or suggestions as to why.

Sounds like you need a policy where someone has to monitor any cow that gives birth for at least 24 hours. Too many deaths and no answers.

Because he had checked on her in the morning and everything look fine/normal, and he is still pretty gimped up from Sheila farking him up on Monday. Robert is useless if walking is required do to his health. I could NOT get out there as the Motel actually supports the farm and animals.

even that would not have helped in this case as Sheila calved last Saturday. And no one knew that Enola had even calved.
