Granny's gone and done it again

Hi Bruce, How are you ?
Tired ;) Been digging the pond. Have to do it one 16" backhoe bucket at a time at the moment. Spent time rescuing tadpoles. DW and DD1 did the same thing later.

Before I got the tractor. I had used the string trimmer to make a path. From the south and from the north. Turns out there is NO deep spot in the pond and we have had no rain for so long it is going dry. I have been digging out the cat tails for months as the water evaporated. They came all the way to the near rocks. You can see the normal water level as the light brown on the cattails turns to green.

Yesterday. That puddle on the right (which I dug with the backhoe in the muck) is all that was left of the water seen in the second picture above.

Today. New "low spot" in the first picture. 90% of that water came from the hose to save the tadpoles. I don't think any fish have lived.

HOWWDY !!! I dont know if I just wasted $25. or save $20. Tom wanted a smaller air compressor. He intended to get one so the cheepest I found was $45. at harbor freight . Went to Lowes they were $129. found the same one at flea market for $25.00 . Got my garbage bags and forgot the TP. Send me a couple rolls Twist, Im on my last one. hahahaa
Proud of you Camping.

not at my cost of over 50 cents a roll. why, because each roll "must be" individually wrapped which of course adds to the cost and our landfills.

wow, I keep saying I need an assistant.

up here they were usually called children, heard that a lot "what do you think I have you boys for?"" Evidently 3 boys were cheaper then a snowblower until the neighbor sort of "guilted" dad into buying one. Best part was the neighbor never said a word BUt would see us out there shoveling away and when he was done with his drive would come over and finish ours off.

I got the frame for the wall of the chicken coop built!View attachment 1505194
Hubby said to me, You know that wall is crooked? Um yeah, it is going to be 6'6" on one end, 8' at the other end. Roof needs to slant.
You can see the 2 trees in the upper left corner of the picture, they are no longer there.

I don't envy your uneven ground there cap. No your buildings are a different story

It is a challenge when the ground is sloping, for sure. I just do the best i can with what i have.
I plan to go to the Restore tomorrow to see if i can find a couple of doors for my coop. Which means i get to drive the truck, which i love.
