I just made some perogi soup . I had to find my post here to remember what I did. LOL This time it got the mini perogies and fresh carrots and celery. I guess Lisa or Rod must of put veggies in my fridge. LOL Im a little surprised the fridge didnt spit them back out.
Veggies are good in soup! Cook them up and drink the broth, all the veggie nutrients are in there.
Yes, like cornish cross. Mild and tender.
I am eating fudge!Hubs nephew was supposed to get into town at 10 this morning... flight was early and airporter bus dropped him off at 8:30! Everyone was still sleeping, except for me, luckily, letting out the chickens. I kinda woke hubs and asked when nephew was arriving, and he checked his phone to see he already had!!! I had a feeling! which was good because it was COLD this morning and he was coming from Australia, where it's summer now. So we took him out to brunch ans step sis in law (figure that one out!) drove down to give him a ride back up to see MIL (his grandma). very short visit for us, but good to see him. He is back at Yale, finishing a double Master's degree Business and something about International stuff or something hard sounding.![]()
Quote: I have ways you can hide onion (grating it works) but it involves extra cooking! Onions are best sauteed first in a little butter or oil. Something about them when boiling will prevent other veggies (especially dried beans and peas) from cooking properly, so I always do the onions separate.
