Granny's gone and done it again

Florence won't be getting anywhere near Indiana.

And a boot is where you put your foot before going outside or what you get when you are fired from your job. No idea why you use boot for the closed storage area in a car that is behind the passenger compartment if you aren't of British extraction.
 It’s just what it’s called here.

Are you in Amish country?

Got to cull a older silkie chick. I feel neglectful. It must have had a wet face and then got it covered. Plus this heat doesn’t help.

I’m so busy and helping everyone else that I don’t have time to take care of my animals properly. I was late to work 2x this week because of Mom drama.
:hugs

We can only do our best. Sure wish i could get a helper.

So after finding that rooster with a bloody leg, i went to see if his sister had a band. She does not. Then i checked the male turkeys. One had a tight band and was limping a bit. So i caught him and cut it off. Put on a loose one. I am going to have to check all the banded quail. I don't think any of the other chickens have bands.

I am going to be glad to cut down on the quail numbers. Bad news is they are already predicting rain for the 22nd.
I was out trying to work on the run for the new coop. It is more than 10 feet wide and the wire is not more than 5 feet wide. So i am going to try putting wood i can join it to, but i have to wait for the wood to dry so i can paint it. Going to work on the part of the coop that is nearly done, hope to get chickens in asap. Bbl.

When I bought those silkies in December I didn’t realize til later they had bands. The one was grown into a leg. They were teeny tiny bands.

Aside from the fact that I really need to trim her nails...the denning instinct is strong with this dog.
