also that's what I grew up eating.
I think that's the biggest thing. My mom rarely bought prepared foods, and never margarine. Other than bread, most meals were entirely from scratch.

same here although as the "treat" for my father she would make bread and such, She started baking a LOT more when the frozen bread dough became "affordable"

I can't find a bread I like anymore. I guess my taste buds have changed. Of course white bread is mostly all I've ever eaten. I guess in this PC world we live in I'm in danger of being called racist?
