Granny's gone and done it again

sent Robert home with about 8 gallons of squash trimmings. Processed 48 cups of squash all in containers now cooling down before hauling to the freezer. I put it in those 4 cup Rubbermaid containers. Baked the chunks in the over and then food milled the works. Thinking about trying some in "pumpkin bread" and see how that is.

My "indoor" maters got ahead of me so cooking them down now. Just a small sauce pot full a the moment. But I will just stick it in the fridge and then add to it and cook it down again before running the works thru a food mill.
You always stay busy. Tires me out between you and Cap

I like to keep busy and processing the stuff I grow myself just really fulfills and makes me happy. This way when I want to serve squash all I do is de-frost and then throw in over or micro add butter, salt and pepper. Side dish DONE :yesss: When I am feeding Robert, Rod, Vickie and myself it pretty much takes 2 of those containers.

little fried onion and bacon grease or bits w/ lots of salt and I could eat the whole container myself.
