Our house is too far away, and still has no gutters. I was thinking maybe PVC pipe.

rain barrel ? Have you seen rain chimes ? I like those. I doubt they are practical. Maybe you can make a work of art. abstract like gutters but miniature and in a swirl/tornado pattern that will funnel itself to the quail water .

The drakes in the 2nd batch of ducklings are so stupid. Had 1 rip off the top of the bill trying to climb the wall. The girls don’t do that.

It’s eating and drinking. Blood everywhere but it acts the same.

Where our wires come in is basically a big tube with a bend on the top (think of an upside down umbrella handle - or upside down J). When the tree trimmers got caught up on the wires they gave it a yank which pulled the bend part one way towards them, which made the bottom part of the tube kick out. Physics!
