I'm very good with the scissors. He gets mats in the very fine hairs all around his whoosiewhatsit. Just making him turn on his back causes him to whimper and whine. I've never cut him with the scissors. Don't think I would use clippers in that most sensitive of areas. Don't think I could hold him down and manage clippers at the same time.




Probably having FLASH BACKS from that strict neutering policy all you lady's have
Scooter was at least 2 when he showed up and intact. Thought himself a giant Rottie or something! Had the roamies and kept getting out of the yard. It was Belle proof, but not Scooter proof. I had to stop the wanderlust. Who knows how many little baby Scoots were running around out there. PLUS, the overwhelming percentage of dog bites are from non neutered dogs of both sexes. I'm okay with letting them grow a bit, but if they are never going to be bred, it seems a little cruel.
