and given the difficulty the vet had just drawing blood doing an AI might be worse. Yaks are in the bovine family but evidently just different enough to be tricky and it is "Twisted Acres"

The Lorp? Maybe it's the pic, but those sure look like male saddle feathers in the pic where it's coming through the door. You have another pic? Males will squat at times... it is a submissive posture. How old are they now?

LOL I am not as nice as you. Here you eat what is served or go without. AND I keep a mental note of who didn't eat and after 3 strikes they are NOT invited again. When we were growing up you ate what was served and/or sat at the table until bedtime. NO snack before bed and certainly NO desert.
