Granny's gone and done it again

Leyland Cypress. We didn’t know until I looked it up just now  We walked acres and acres of trees. DD wanted a “blue ice.” I’m the only one who wanted pine.
I thought it looked like a cypress, but never seen one as a Christmas tree. Noble fir, Douglas fir, Fraser fir are the main ones... they come down from Oregon and Washington.
Is "blue ice" a type of cypress? I would love to have a blue spruce.

The farm listed several trees, but it seems most of them are color variations of Leyland Cypress. They also have the Fraser firs, but they are shipped in because it’s too warm here to grow. One of the types was sort of spongey like lichen. That’s the one that I’m guessing was “blue ice.”

Did you take a Benadryl?

I said I was going to, but I forgot. It doesn’t itch or burn until I wash my hands.

True story.

I do the exact thing. LOL

I spent my childhood outside in the grass and woods and never had a problem. I changed a flat tire on the side of the interstate when I was in college, and got a rash down both arms. I don’t react to poison ivy or sumac, but if I sit in the grass I’ll break out.
