Granny's gone and done it again

@MrsMistyReal I "liked" your post only in a supportive way. I am so sorry. He has gone through so much with his head held high, always pushing forward. :hugs

Hubby thinks its lovely out but i am not fond of 47.8. I was sweating just feeding the birds.
But it is melting the snow for you!

You have to order so many
Depends on the hatchery. Meyer, for one, has a 3 chick minimum starting in April I believe. The "problem" is the shipping. You are looking at about $35 for 3 chicks or a dozen. However, I prefer to get chicks "direct", never know what bins chicks might get moved to once they hit the store. One BYC member spotted male sex link birds in a pullet bin at one farm store. Of course the employee had no knowledge and claimed they are pullets because they were in the pullet bin. Same place, wrong breed in a bin.

Wow, you are kidding. Guess boxes will go up also.
Yep. Here is the full price list starting mid January.

Buy your forever stamps now for $0.50. They are valid postage for a first class letter forever. And complain as we might, our prices are less than Canadian postal prices. If you buy a booklet the price for 1 oz stamps is CAD 0.85 (USD 0.65). A single stamp costs CAD $1 (USD 0.75)

I think they already did some and probably more.
Nope, postage changes are around MLK day in January.

with a little heads up next year I can throw some yak "fiber' in an envelope and mail it to you.
Ah heck Twist, throw in a whole yak. THAT will give the kids something to talk about.

I had to pick up bubba from school for puking. He can’t keep anything down, poor little thing.
That poor kid seems to get more than his fair share!

What a thing to have to face especially at this time of the year and with a child. My heart really goes out to her. Im sure all of you feel the same.
Dear Jesus,

Today, I cry tears that mean a hundred things at once, happy and sorrowful and desperate and hopeful. I trust You to sort them out as You catch them, to hear and answer each prayer they represent.

I cry for those of us left behind, for the lonely ones with hollows in our hearts. I ask You to comfort us, give peace, restore hope, and lavish us with love, family, and belonging. In the depths of loss, meet us with Yourself.

I cry for the legacy this loved one leaves, for the ways the world has been made different by their presence, for the memories that become both more beautiful and more painful on this side of death. And I pray that the work You have accomplished in this remarkable life will grow deeper, wider, and stronger in the days to come, uninhibited by a weak opponent like death.

I cry for those who haven’t yet accepted Your invitation into eternal life, for those who grieve without hope today. I pray for awakening in their hearts, for a stirring that draws to You. I pray for more attendees at the grand reunion scheduled in the coming eternity.

I cry for all the ways the world has gone wrong, and for all the ways You’re making it right again. I ask that You make me part of Your work in bringing the kingdom of heaven to earth.

I cry knowing You are here with me. And because You are here, even my tears have meaning.
