Granny's gone and done it again

well we went out and Tom got the dog waters and he said the mice went flying. I wasnt around for that part. LOL I rinsed them w/ the hose. Found a large tote lid and cut 2 circles out to glue on the bottoms. jig saw is broke. Wont turn off. The second its plugged in its on. I didnt know this and glad it was me and not Tom. I tried everything else to cut it first. scissors, tin snips, knife.
everything in the house to clean better and glue on. I have gorilla glue. Cant read directions. Roberts turn to read to me now. hahaa

Sees candy ? You sees it then you eat it ? You eat all you sees ?
Yep!
As was said See's has been around a LONG time. We had one about 1/2 mile from the house when I was growing up. Right next to the Winchell's Donut store and yes the cops did seem to be there often.

Just did a Google "street view" drive by. Nothing is the same except Marie Callendar's is still in place. Didn't recognize anything else. There is a CVS store where the Savon Drug store used to be. I remember going there for lots of things, including testing vacuum tubes for radios and TVs to see which needed to be replaced when the machine stopped working properly. They had drawers under the machine with all the tubes.

Is that what #1 got you for Christmas ? If so, tell him my Bday is coming up. Bahahahaa
And she is telling the truth this time!!!!

Yeah that is a "I'll think about it for .00001 seconds before I say yes" opportunity!

I have 11 GKs and far as I know still gonna be a GGM . Dont seem possible.
I'm 6+ years older than you, I have zero grand kids. Which is OK by me, don't need the DDs popping out babies while still living at home.

I taught before computers were a big deal. No xerox at my school either... mimeograph... the purple stuff. I hand wrote what I needed.
Boy are YOU OLD!!! :gig

Ah, I just learned, actually what we used was a Ditto Machine. Mimeograph is different. Our school had a Xerox, but only for office use. Teachers had to make dittos. Papers were soaked with a solvent... that's what the kids sniffed, the little huffers! This was late 80s, early 90s.
good article

I remember them from my youth. They were REALLY still using ditto machines in the late 80s and early 90s?? Heck I'd been working for 10 years after college by the late 80's.

They listen to a program on their tablets that tells them interesting facts about the area. Like mini history lessons. All depends on where they are and what they are doing. We have no games on the tablets and they are pretty much locked from going to anything but the sites I allow. So all education on those. Plus we load up a few books and some games to play in down times.
Sounds like a more interesting educational experience than a desk in a crowded room.

Bad thing about not having teeth. How can you tell if the rice is done ? LOL
If it hurts when you bite down, it isn't done. If it doesn't hurt, it IS done!
