Went out at 11 to check the animals. Wish I'd gotten more hay for them.

Accumulation!

only stuck to the cars, picnic table, and a couple spots in the yard. Ground was still warmish so the rest is soggy puddles. Still managed 4 eggs today.

I put Gyda and the silkie (roosts alone) into nests boxes with the banties. Several of the bigger birds were lining the boxes; don't know if it was on purpose, but they were blocking the wind from the banties. Wish I had blocked the windows, but I think they'll all be ok. They were fine last time, but this just feels so much colder.

had the kids seen the snow before ? I bet the animals dont know what to think.

I think I might have foundered myself 7 pieces of French toast with butter and an 8 to 10 stick of sausage. The good news is the sausage is as good the second time around

Hello. I have returned and consumed my burrito! Lila's makes the best carnitas of anywhere I've tried. Delicious!! Especially with black beans. So I'm full now, and still need to light a fire and fold a mountain of laundry. No rain yet, but the clouds moved in this afternoon. Will be awhile before we see the sun!
