Howdy-hoo everyone. Lots more rain today. Should bring us up to 100%+ of normal for this time of year. I don't think Scooter has been out all day. He's been kind of droopy and I've never seen rain stop him before. Wish I knew how old he is. We've had him for 8 years now...

Have to go over to the jr college tomorrow to try to straighten out classes for #2. His counselor signed him up for classes with prerequisites, but didn't clear them, so he's not enrolled and counselor won't be back until after they start. Will be a bummer if he doesn't get them.

On the bright side, I don't have jury duty tomorrow, but am on call for the rest of the week. They never pick me anyway. Don't know why, the dang sharks. This time they probably will because there won't be anyone home to take care of Chicory. You think they'll let me off for a dependent geriatric bunny?


Some of those threads are set up so only people with paid memberships have access. I'm not a fan of this at all.


Well, that was instructive! Not something I should start doing... I've already got a junk room full of stuff to toss. But is sure is sad to see how much stuff is going into the landfills. And that was only a few dumpsters in one town. Can you imagine all the dumpsters in every town in every state? The constant flow of garbage... and honestly, none of that stuff was vital to survival, most of it was just packaging. Such a waste. We will keep digging holes and filling them up with crap until there's no room left. Long as it's not in my backyard, right?
And no, 48 hrs of cold dark rain does not put me in a pessimistic mood.

Seems to me that #2 should be able to attend the first few days till the counselor can fix the clerical mistake, they give you x number of days to drop or add classes dont they?

That's what I am hoping, but we'll go in tomorrow to see if a jc counselor can help. Kid's transcripts are in their system from last semester, but they want them again? Thing is, he's still in high school, and needs the English units to graduate. He won't be taking Eng at the high school if he gets in at the jc. Don't want him to get too far behind if he winds up back at the high school.
And, I don't like uncertainty.

Jaws was the first kind of scary-horror-slasher movie I ever saw. Think I was 12 or 13. Scared the you-know-what out of me and made me afraid to go swimming for a long time. Still do not like scary movies, and Jaws was pretty tame by comparison to some of the sick creepy crappola they put out now. And it's entertainement? I don't get it.

Crap is right on the movies and I remember the exact day it came out because after we went to theater to see it in Fl. We were on our way to the beach and I got my first menses.

I'm not sure if he's sick. He's always had a sensitive stomach. He's acting like he did after Belle died... kind of depressed. He still brings me drooly toys to play, but half heartedly. He was super excited at Christmas... opened his new toy and didn't let it go all day. Maybe he's just picking up on my mood. Got the blahs.

Robert asked me to take him to town for a game station card. I really didnt want to then I thought about him feeding the chickens yesterday when he really didnt want to so I took him. He offered to buy me food for going and I told him why I was taking him. I didnt want anything in return. I hope the message sunk in.

In Mi. I would get letters regular mail for jury duty and because they werent certified mail I tossed them in the garbage. I have never received one here.
Do you remember that man that bought so many chickens from me ? He lived from dumpster diving. He said he hadnt bought a pack of meat in years. He would go behind Aldies and fill 3 deep freezers up.
