I remember my first one, fresh from Ohio. I was praying to get that baby so I could pick out a King cake...it was love at first bite!

We have one here, more like a Mexican version. For Jan 6. The day the wisemen made it to the baby Jesus.costco had them this year. It wasn’t good, very dry and typical of Mexican bread. Not sweet at all.

Yes! Dia del Reyes. It’s similar in concept, but that’s about it. Mardi Gras king cakes are lavish.

I got up late then slept most of the day. Feeling awful. Not going to eat supper. Went out for a while and watered critters, froze my hands. I need to go out and check rabbits to make sure they all have feed.
