-11°F this morning, according to NOAA, wind chill of -30°F. DD2 has to go to work at the mountain, DW gets the MLK holiday off. She's not complaining about not going out today though it won't be much better tomorrow morning.

Couldn't get a saturday off -

DW works at the Post Office, 6 days a week. Only has Sunday off.

Did I tell y’all how I ended up with these extra chicks Friday? I went for feed and smelled sheddings burning. A lamp had slipped and it was laying on the bedding! The wire was zip tied to the gate around the bins. Left a orange sized black mark on the sheddings. I was pulling it up when a worker asked if I was okay.

And they don't notice they are -><- close to burning the place down or at least smoking everyone out and crisping a bunch of chicks?
Heat lamps bad, too many chances for accidents. Unfortunately those sorts of places aren't going to have a bunch of Mama Heating Pad caves. Glad Camping is more respectful of the danger!
