Shelters i have seen have mostly problem dogs and pitbulls. I want a purebred pup.

Yes, I think it will help keep them warmer, but will they have food and water? Probably more important for the little ones... so if you can move the food/water inside, it would be good.

their food and water is inside already. I will close them up then. Its the LF I think will take the brunt of this. I bought a bag of shavings yesterday. I was going to clean out the nest boxs. Maybe I should put it in their coop. Might dry it out better in there.

The cold is so hard on Tom and myself w/ blood thinners. He is cold in 70 degrees.

We had Manatees just down the road a ways in Bradenton. Lots of them by the power plant, we saw maybe 100 of them.

One day I was standing on the pier with my daughter looking at them....she said "Mom, they look like baked potatoes" lol

Problem with that is they won't have any way of knowing what or where if the power is out. ER can at least give directions or shelter them if need be.
