The ground turkey is a little softer than beef burger, but it cooks up to a good texture. It doesn't taste like beef at all, but when you get done adding all the condiments and goodies, it eats just fine.


We try to limit how much beef we eat. Ground turkey is a good substitution... burgers, taco meat, spaghetti sauce, meatloaf (if I ever try to make one). Little Worschey sauce makes up for some of the taste.

Is turkey more per LB then beef ?

Its starting to warm. 19 feels like 14. Way better then even this am.
Yes, I went out to check on them. They are all ok seems like. I wont know about frost bite for a couple days I guess. They still had food and water although the dog dish water smelled bad. All the eggs in the LF coop was cracked but I got 3 intact eggs from the seramas

That's great, they made it in such cold conditions. We are going to have a little cold spell this weekend, so I expect you will be warming up a bit. Seems to work that way... opposites.

I am getting 4 blue/green eggs a day, and one brown. Almost half my mob lay blue. 2EE, 2 Ameraucana, and 2 CCL. The eggs are mostly green, though.

The candling went better than I thought, a few of the eggs actually made it. There are a couple of obvious clear ones that I can compare the others to. Some have veins, some I think were so scrambled they just look dark. The blue eggs are harder to see

I was so full of energy and in a good mood today. Giggling at every thing. Not much pain. Then I got my shot and about 15 mins later something hit me like a ton of bricks. So wore out. I even did dishes. LOL
